Silvia Barbero

Dottore di ricerca in Sistemi di Produzione e Disegno Industriale, è professoressa associata di Design al Politecnico di Torino (Dipartimento di Architettura e Design). È docente dei corsi di Requisiti Ambientali del Prodotto nella laurea triennale in Design e Comunicazione e di Design Sostenibile per il Sistema Alimentare; di Sistemi Aperti presso la laurea magistrale in Design Sistemico; di Design Sistemico per lo Sviluppo del Territorio presso il dottorato di ricerca in Management, Produzione e Design del Politecnico di Torino. È presidente dell'Associazione Design Sistemico e co-fondatrice di Sys - Systemic Design Lab. È autrice di libri sul design sostenibile e ha scritto oltre 100 articoli su riviste, libri e convegni scientifici.

Is a PhD in Production Systems and Industrial Design, she is Associate Professor in Design at Politecnico di Torino (Department of Architecture and Design). She teaches courses in Environmental Product Requirements at the three-year degree in Design and Communication and in Sustainable Design for the Food System; in Open Systems at the Master’s degree in Systemic Design; and in Systemic Design for Territorial Development at the PhD in Management, Production and Design at the Politecnico di Torino. She is president of the Systemic Design Association and co-founder of Sys-Systemic Design Lab. She is the author of books on sustainable design and has written more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and proceedings.
